They might still live in the wild and the pet store ones might be wild but if someone goes to a good breeder that hand tames them and the parents and all extended family have great temperaments, they won't wild for 50 generations as you say. I would hope by then a breeder would have some really nice, calm birds...
But yes you are right, the average bird most people buy, the pet store one or not selectively bred, bird will remain wild.
But yeah, either way they should accept you eventually.
And sorry, i think i see what you mean now. Parrots are not, and probably never will be, domesticated. They're still wild animals even if you get generations of handtamed birds from a breeder. Sorry, I think I misunderstood, I thought by wild you meant like personality wise, flighty, etc. But maybe you meant like wild animal, not domesticated?
