My Coop
My Coop
Yesterday midday, the ladies were out in the yard ang so were me and my husband. A coyote ran out of the woods snatched up Ruth, our BO, and took off back into the woods. All that was left was a mess of feathers. We grabbed the guns but only found tracks that eventually ended 😔 I locked the coop up tight last night and closed the thick wood pop door and the auto door. Got up this morning to let them out and that bastard was crouched down by the fence line. Got the gun shot and hit him, but I don't think it was fatal. It's on now! We'll get him for you Ruth!

I feel your pain but with me it was a fox that got my special bird during the middle of the day. She was three years old. I had let her out and was distracted and a fox sneaked in and got her. I didn't actually see it happen but got the fox on one of my cameras. I did eliminate the fox.

I have had issues with coyotes. I tried to trap them but they would not go into the trap.
Ya, they are crazy smart! Our best bet is going to be waiting for dusk or early in the morning, cuz he's damn sure gonna be back! Hell he was waiting patiently this morning for me to let them out in the run before he came outta the fence line! Just wish I would have been a awake and alert
