From egg to chick!

For those of you that don't know the babies. I bought a mystery barnyard mix off ebay. They sent 2 dozen instead of 1. Out of 24 shipped eggs, 20 made it to lockdown. 2 eggs from each batch ended up not making it. There are 16 babies, 2 of which have crooked beaks and are being watched carefully.

They have moved from inside to outside as they were already escaping the brooder box I had (shame on them rascals), and have, so far, integrated nicely.

Out of all 16 hatched eggs....one was a turken! Who is named Dolly Parton btw. Follow along if you are new! Otherwise hop right back on in friends and let's continue the journey from egg to chicken.
I LOVE Dolly Parton, she is SO cute 😍

I live somewhere cold so I probably can't have naked necks 😞

Apparently they are cold hardy. Just gotta keep am eye on the skin and give them massages and spa treatments like maybe coconut oil? Lol. It would be a spoiled chicken that's for sure! We got down to 20s this winter and she was fine without any intervention. Maybe I will get her a chicken scarf 🤣
