    Pipd's Peeps!

I whole heartedly approve of the Light Brahma. I adore Pema, my husband's pick again (Victoria the Dorking was his first). Oh and a Dorking trio! How exciting! I've never had Cochins, since we have such a small flock we have to focus more on eggs, but we love our snuggly Buff Orp and Light...

    Pipd's Peeps!

So sorry for your loss of Betty. Thank you for sharing her personality with us, it's a lovely tribute. As for Frou, do you think perhaps it could be a vitamin deficiency? I've read very little about them but one of the symptoms is listlessness (granted that's a common symptom for any sick...

My heart goes out to you. I hope Frou-Frou perks up and has many more years with you.

    Pipd's Peeps!

I thoroughly agree Crashie is a girl :) Good luck deciding about the SFH, that's a tough call.

Perhaps put a basket in the coop that she can lay in. Of course no guarantee she will use it.

    Pipd's Peeps!

Yes! I love the pic of the two hens facing one another, love the contrast of the hen on the right. I would love to have Red, Colored and Birchen Dorkings in the future along with the Silver Grey of course. The rose bomc whites are pretty too. For now I'm happy with Victoria and Cornelia the...

    Pipd's Peeps!

Haha that pic! Our Buff Orp is also a bit of a drama queen. She must have her snuggles, so much so that she rose from the bottom of the pecking order to the top so she could have all the snuggles to herself. She is the also the first to start the alert call. But I wouldn't trade her for...

    Pipd's Peeps!

You're right the BCMs are $9.93. I would like a really nice light Salmon Faverolles but I don't like all the red and black in many of the hatchery quality ones. That's one reason why I like the Wheaten Favaucanas (they also remind me of Splash Blue Wheaten Ameraucanas too *drool*) Yes I saw...

    Pipd's Peeps!

I hear you with the price. We haven't bought any chicks over $7 so far but obviously the blue or lav will change that. We love our Buff Orp, she's a snuggle monster. I wouldn't say they are rules so much as preferences. I'm free to pick out whatever breed I want, but we each only get one...

    Pipd's Peeps!

Yay for the possibility of more chicks in spring! Husband says we can get three more (so limiting). We will probably get an Australorp, husband wants a blue or lavender bird, prob an Orp, he doesn't want anything bearded but if say Meyer announced they were carrying Isbars... I'm torn I would...

    Pipd's Peeps!

Oh my goodness Crashie is ridiculously cute! His adorable face and posing with the easter chick and mirror just slays me. Victoria our Dorking makes this hilarious whinnying sound when I open the nest box on her, I love it, but it's hard to get her long tail back in.
