Super nice build. It's pretty rare that folks start off building bigger than they need. Nice run, good ventilation - great everything actually.

Nice, I like how you have windows that can open and provide ventilation, and how the roof opens up. I also love how there are three wheels on each side, which makes it easy to move around. The only additional thing you might have done is stain the plywood so it holds up longer in various weather. Would have been nice to dee plans and build-in-progree pictures like others have mentioned, but overall, a nice tractor.

Building out of pallets is genius in my opinion. In your climate, lining with hardware cloth instead of filling in the spaces between the pallet boards is an excellent way to provide ventilation.

Good ventilation and plenty of roosts in the enclosed coop part, nice cover for the run, excellent that you installed hardware cloth around the lower part of the run. The only thing to improve it might be to install poultry wire around the top part of the run so grabby raccoon hands can't reach in and grab a victim. Have to mention, love the dragonfly decor!

Thanks so much! Poultry wire…is that chicken wire? The whole run is wrapped in chicken wire, with hardware cloth on the bottom and buried around the bottom… the dragon flyers were a gift from my daughter and grandson for my birthday :-). I love them on the coop too ♥️

Looks very secure and roomy enough for 5-6 hens, and I love the clean and efficient feeder and waterer. The only thing I would question is if there is enough ventilation in the enclosed coop part, a;; we see is a tiny vent above the PVC feeder, though we don't see the other sides.

Love all the step-by-steps you put into this article. The only thing I'd like to see more, is how you predator-proofed your run.

All I really did was secure all openings well, ran a second layer of chicken wire offset from the first at ground level and run the chicken wire a foot out from the run horizontally and pile rocks on that so predators quickly get frustrated if they try to dig under. This all turned out to be excessive, because I've left the treat door open overnight with no visitors (I credit three noisy dogs for that). We're surrounded by woods and have seen foxes on the drive and hear a lot of racoons, but never in the meadow where the house is situated.
