Okay. I have taken photos of every color variation that I think I have. I think one of them looks very different on camera but whatever, I guess. I'd ask ya'll to please excuse the poop but I think most of us are used to the butt habits of baby birds.

I am going to desperately attempt to write down how many of what color I hatched once I get home from work. The chicks do fine without the brooder plate for quite a while, but I feel so bad for the late hatches who aren't as feathered. Fingers crossed I can manage to figure out 30 tiny nuggets...

I...do not. Most of the chicks dried into different shades (which was too late for me to record) and some are pretty identical. I'll take a picture tonight when we change out their dog pad.

And finally, everyon hatched! The last two were able to hatch overnight without further assistance. We have 30 chicks!

2 left! I was able to successfully assist 4 of the final eggs, but these two still have active vessels. One of them is almost done, the other has very obviously active vessels. I'm not really sure why this chick is so late - the egg itself is a bit bigger, so it might just be a bigger chick...

Good morning! I went to bed with four babies in the incubator, drying out, and woke up to 13. Nine more hatched overnight! I have no idea which chicks hatched out of which eggs, but 4, 13, 25, 15, 30, 12, 23, 24, and 27 are all out. It's about this time that I make safety holes for any unpipped...

15 have hatched! I've been editing and updating the list on page 9, for those waiting for a particular chick. One of the single numbers chipped off most of its number when it hatched, so...I think it was 7, but I'm not sure.
