Usually pipping at the end happens in shipped eggs where the egg gets shaken up and damaged but can also happen if you accidentally set eggs in a turning rack with the air cell down. Are they shipped eggs?

I'm hatching for myself and also hatching my friends turkey eggs every week so my incubators have been packed. Lol. Not all for me.

I candle the first week to remove any clears just to make room in the incubators. They have stayed packed and bad eggs take up good real estate. Lol

It's day 5 on my painted turkey eggs. Looks like 10-11 out of 14 are developing. All but two air cells stabilized and are solid now, a little odd looking, not saddled but just a tad misshapen. But overall I am tickled! :wee

 You can see development in chicken eggs by day 3-5. Turkeys and ducks around 5-7. Keep them upright when you candle with the fat end up and don't jostle them around a lot. They are shipped eggs right?
