I need to get more updated pics. Ronnie’s comb has not gotten any larger or redder. It is still more orange/red than my pullets, but isn’t as brilliant red as my 2 other cockerels.
He still doesn’t have a lot of lacing pattern and the chest is entirely black. So I still think it a a boy...
Almost 6 weeks. In the first pic, the lighting makes the comb look more pink than it is. While the wattles are red, the comb is still pretty yellow. Comb also hasn’t grown much in the last few weeks. It’s probably wishful thinking, but im still 🤞 Ronnie turns out to be a girl!
This is Ronnie, a silver double laced barnevelder. Purchased straight run from a local breeder. Any guess on gender? I know it’s early, but you know me I love guessing! Truthfully though, I’m on the fence with this one.
