I got these for from the Assorted Unsexed duck bin at TSC a week ago. Any ideas what they are? I looked at the Hoover’s ID page and they look like female Golden 300s to me but I figured I can’t be that lucky! :lol: They are enjoying some outside time near my mixed flock since the weather is nice.

I have a couple drakes to cull and I’m wondering how best to do the deed. I use the broomstick method on any chickens I cull but I read somewhere that it doesn’t work well for ducks because their legs are different. Does anyone have any experience with the broomstick method for ducks?

Is this rooster a Black Copper Maran? I know yellow legs are a fault according to standard but he does have a few little feathers on his legs and with this coloring I don’t know what else he could be. He was in a Fry Pan Bargain assortment from Meyer Hatchery.
